Nigel

Despite his small size and intimidating appearance as a scorpion, Nigel possesses a surprisingly brave and determined personality. He's willing to stand up for what he believes in, even declaring he'll 'raise an army if he has to' when faced with challenges.

Nigel demonstrates loyalty to his newfound friends in the group, proving that size doesn't determine the magnitude of one's courage. His fierce determination often surprises those who underestimate him based on his appearance.

Though he may appear menacing to those unfamiliar with him, Nigel has a good heart and genuinely cares about helping his companions reach their goal of returning to the Outback.

Unlike many of the other animals in the group, Nigel closely resembles the natural coloration of his species - the marbled scorpion. His appearance stays true to his real-world counterpart with the characteristic mottled brown and tan patterns.

However, like other characters in the film, Nigel has been stylized with larger, more expressive black eyes and less pronounced pincers than a real scorpion would have. He also has a mouth for speaking rather than the typical mandibles of his species.

Early Life

Nigel originally lived in the Australian Outback before circumstances led him to encounter the main group of animals on their journey home. As a native of the Outback, he has intimate knowledge of the terrain and environment.
