"And how are my babies tonight?" ~ Jackie
Jackie is a caring saltwater crocodile from the Netflix movie Back to the Outback. She serves as a motherly figure to the outback pack.
Jackie is a very large and girthy murky green saltwater crocodile with a yellow underbelly and yellow eyes with green irises in front of her face.
Although she's very aggressive, ferocious, and vicious upon first glance, it's all an act for the show her park puts up. When off the clock, Jackie is actually a rather sweet and patient soul. She acts as a mother figure to the animals in the Monster House, acting very kind and affectionate.
Jackie grew up in a channel near some mountains she was always impressed by how huge and majestic they seemed. At a young age she was taken from her home by Chaz Hunt and brought to the Australian Wildlife Park, where she soon realized to embrace people's fear of her.
Jackie quickly gained a reputation as the most infamous animal in the Australian Wildlife Park. She was fierce and always loved scaring people. Because of this she was put in three separate enclosures: one out in public, one in the under construction danger house and would also be brought out to perform for guests. Jackie was always willing to put up with Chaz's show and to let him capture her every show. She also started the Ugly Secret Society whilst in captivity, helping out any misunderstood animals in need of her help.
Eventually she became slightly less wild when she raised some children who were also in the danger house: the optimistic taipan Maddie, the lonely funnel web spider Frank, the tough thorny devil Zoe and the shy marbled scorpion Nigel. Every night she told them stories of her home and how one day they would go back there.
Just before Maddie's first show she scared a kid who came too close to her enclosure. She burst out of the water snapping her jaws, the kid ran off screaming as security tried to stop Jackie, much to the amusement of Zoe watching from the security cameras.
During the show Jackie did her usual routine before due to her extra wild behaviour that day the park had not seen in years she was brought to her private enclosure in the danger house. She greeted her "children" and asked a crying Maddie how her show went, however the other animals silently indicated for her to change the subject. Jackie realizing her mistake tried complimenting her, when Maddie talked about how the crowd thought she was hideous Jackie laughed it off stating that she was not hideous because a few humans screamed. Maddie further said they were horrified, Jackie was upset for her surrogate daughter and so promised to tell them all about the mountains. Finally Maddie sung her birth mother's lullaby, Jackie said that Maddie's birth mother must have loved her a lot before telling her story for the final time.
Jackie told Maddie that night that the first show is the hardest and it would get easier after a while. Jackie didn't perform in the show because Chaz was afraid Jackie might be a bit too hard for him to handle. So he put her in her enclosure, this turned out to be a terrible mistake when Chazzie tried to capture her like the security team only to fall in. Her motherly instincts kicking in Jackie fought off security to save Chazzie from drowning however was later captured as far too many for her to fight off came.
Jackie was later brought to a van where she would be brought away from the zoo and presumably put down. As she was being taken away she saw Zoe and smiled being content with seeing one of her children before being taken away.
Dead. Just kidding! It's unknown exactly how but Jackie managed to escape. She says she learned some tricks from Zoe indicating like Zoe she managed to loosen a part of her cage to let herself out. She also says she was head of a rescue team indicating another animal from U.S.S helped, most likely the nearby Legs Luciano who always knew how to help animals escape.
She later contacted another member of U.S.S, presumably Jacinta, who informed her that her children had escaped from Chaz. Jackie told the agent to keep an eye on them and to help them if anything went wrong.
Jackie's capture inspired Maddie to lead the gang out of the park. They even named the mountains she grew up beside "Jackie's Mountains". When the gang looked up at the stars stating how much she missed her surrogate mother and how she wished Jackie could have seen the stars.
Later Jackie finally arrived in the outback where she met her children alongside Doug and Dourene. Jackie was proud by how far they had come and together they rode on her back to the outback.
